Organizations

NASAR: National Association for Search And Rescue
NASAR is a not-for-profit membership association dedicated to advancing professional, literary, and scientific knowledge in fields related to search and rescue. NASAR is comprised of thousands of paid and non-paid professionals interested in all aspects of search and rescue - the humanitarian cause of saving lives - throughout the United States and around the world."...that others may live."

Mountain Rescue Association
A volunteer organization dedicated to saving lives through rescue and mountain safety education. Established in 1958 at Timberline Lodge Mount Hood Oregon.

Wilderness Medical Society
The Society is a one-of-a-kind association in which physicians and other health professionals can combine their profession with their passion for wilderness. The principal purpose of the Wilderness Medical Society is to present educational programs that inform its members and others about preventing, recognizing, and treating medical problems typically encountered in wilderness situations.

FEMA Urban Search & Rescue
The National Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) Response System, established under the authority of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in 1989 is a framework for structuring local emergency services personnel into integrated disaster response task forces.

National Ski Patrol
The National Ski Patrol (NSP) is a Federally Chartered nonprofit membership association dedicated to serving the public and the mountain recreation industry by providing education services about emergency care and safety.

Pinal County Sheriff's Office
The Pinal County Sheriff's Office exists to serve all the citizens within its jurisdiction with respect, fairness and compassion. The Department is dedicated to community policing, protecting life and property, maintaining the peace, enforcing local, State and Federal Laws and safeguarding citizens' constitutional guarantees.

Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Mountain Rescue (Central Arizona Mountain Rescue-CAMRA)
CAMRA is an all volunteer, non-profit technical rescue team that provides emergency search and rescue services and wilderness safety education.  The team's missions include backcountry emergency medical care, high-angle rope, swiftwater, cave and mine, alpine, and helicopter search and rescue operations.

Desert Rescue Research
Desert Rescue Research provides state of the art publications, training and multimedia software for the rescue professional and fire fighter.

Southern Arizona Rescue Association (SARA)
SARA  is a non-profit, volunteer, search and rescue organization serving all of Southern Arizona since 1958. All of its members, from the president to the newest candidate, are volunteers from all walks of like who give freely of their time and enthusiasm to provide what they consider to be a vital service to the people of Southern Arizona.

SONSAR

Sonoran Search and Rescue
Sonoran Search and Rescue (SONSAR) is a sister organization to Superstition Search and Rescue (SSAR) and is a volunteer organization headed by the Pinal County Sheriff's Office. SONSAR specializes in the use of canines and trackers to conduct grid, line and hasty searches.
